Olalekan Adeeko is a highly skilled data analyst, renowned Microsoft Certified Trainer, and a social entrepreneur. He embarked on his academic journey at Nigeria's prestigious Tai Solarin University of Education, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science Education, achieving top honours with a First Class.
Recognized as a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert and a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), Olalekan's expertise in data analytics and education technology sets him apart. In 2015, he was awarded the Teaching Excellence & Achievement Fellowship by the United States Department of States and IREX, leading him to the University of Nevada, Reno for his TEA Program. He has since been acknowledged as a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert in Dubai (2015), Singapore
(2018), and a fellow in Paris (2019), specializing in Education Technology and 21st Century Learning Design.
While his passion lies in leveraging data and artificial intelligence to promote UN Sustainable Goal 4 - Quality Education, Olalekan has also excelled as a Microsoft Power BI analyst. He has trained over 300 individuals in data analytics, utilizing tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL, and Python. His expertise spans various sectors, including education, health, finance, and sales, where he has contributed to numerous data analytics projects. Beyond his technical prowess, Olalekan has made a substantial impact as an educator. He has trained over 35,000 teachers across 19 states in Nigeria, Botswana and Ghana. He has represented his state and country in international programs and competitions held in Ghana, Mauritius, South Africa, Kenya, Dubai, Singapore, France, and the United States.
As the co-founder and Technical Lead at TedPrime Hub, a prominent edtech social enterprise and Microsoft Global Training Partner, Olalekan is actively involved in facilitating edtech and data in education training. He oversees the deployment of edtech solutions and projects internationally, including initiatives like Agrotech Hackathon, TeacherX, Codeliners, Edo Girls Can Code, Teach Right, and the STEM HER coding and Robotics program. Through these endeavors, he advocates for 21st-century teaching and learning methods while promoting STEM education and coding in schools.
Olalekan's outstanding contributions to the field have been recognized with numerous accolades, including winning the 1st Prize Union Bank Edtech Challenge for developing Edubox, a device that bridges the education divide by providing online educational content to communities without internet access. Additionally, he was honored with the 2020 African Union Continental Teacher Prize, an esteemed award celebrating exceptional educators in Africa.
